When tickets for the 2013 U.S. Open, to be held at Merion Golf Club, went on sale in June, many categories quickly sold out.
“Due to space constraints, only 25,000 spectator tickets will be sold, which is significantly fewer tickets than a typical U.S. Open,” the ticketing website reads.
Tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are completely sold out, according to the ticketing site, as are passes for the entire week.
But, there are still tickets available for the June 10 to 16 event.
Monday through Wednesday are practice rounds with the tournament running Thursday through Sunday. Only one ticket type (listed below) is not yet sold out for tournament days.
Still available (as of the posting of this article) are
- 1895 Club Tickets for Monday through Thursday. These tickets provide “spectators with general access to the grounds of the golf course as well as access to the 1895 Club, an air-conditioned pavilion that includes food and beverage in the price of the ticket.” Ticket prices range from $250-$370 per day.
- Trophy Club Tickets for Monday through Wednesday. These tickets provide “spectators with general access to the grounds of the golf course as well as access to the Trophy Club, an air-conditioned pavilion where food and beverage is available for purchase.” These tickets cost $75 per day.
- Grounds Tickets for Monday and Tuesday. These tickets “provide spectators with general access to the grounds of the golf course.” These tickets cost $50 per day.
Tickets can be purchased on the USGA ticket website.
Merion's small course has hosted four previous U.S. Opens and 18 USGA championship tournaments, more than any other course.
