Police arrested a man who was allegedly masturbating … and then allegedly rammed a police car in the 19th Hole Lounge parking lot
Douglas J. Perrine, 39, of Greenhill Road, was arrested Feb. 16 shortly after 1 a.m. after a police officer saw a beige Ford Edge parked and idling with its lights off in the parking lot of the lounge in the 3000 block of Jenkintown Road in Ardsley. According to police, it appeared that the operator, later identified as Perrine, was slumped over the steering wheel.
A police officer said when he shined his flashlight into the vehicle he could see that Perrine had his pants down around his ankles and he was masturbating. According to police, when the officer knocked on the window of the ford and told Perrine to pull his pants up and exit the vehicle, Perrine immediately put the SUV in reverse and “slammed the gas pedal,” hitting the police officer’s vehicle.
According to police, after Perrine struck the patrol car, Perrine put the Ford in gear and attempted to pull forward and turn left; the police officer had to step back to avoid being struck by Perrine. A parked vehicle stopped Perrine from pulling away.
The police officer attempted to tell Perrine to turn the vehicle off and to exit; Perrine refused and appeared to be trying to pull out of the lot again. The police officer then drew his handgun and pointed it at Perrine — Perrine then exited the vehicle.
According to police, Perrine said that he did not see the police officer standing there; Perrine smelled of alcohol and had glassy and bloodshot eyes. Results of a blood test are pending.
Perrine was charged with aggravated assault, DUI, reckless endangerment, open lewdness and other charges.
He does not appear to have a criminal history in Pennsylvania.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 3 at 10 a.m. in front of District Justice Juanita Price.
